HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 1978, 6 ladies in Potton decided to get together and form a singing group. No one could have imagined it would grow into the 70 strong, internationally renowned, award winning Chorus that is Phoenix!

Phoenix Chorus are directed by Lynda Wood, assisted by Glenis Todd. Both Lynda and Glenis have a wealth of experience as barbershop judges and educators.

Real women, real harmony, real fun

Phoenix sing for the pleasure of entertaining – but also exercise their skills in competition.

We work hard to develop our singing techniques, and are regularly trained by internationally renowned vocal coaches to enhance our singing abilities, aswell as benefiting from the skills of our highly trained music team within the chorus.

Recent coaches include:

Kim Vaughn – director of our sister Chorus, San Diego

Cindy Hansen - performance coach extraordinaire

Dale Syverson - director of the Richtones

Renee Porzel – international showmanship judge and Melodeers choreographer

Doug Harrington- international coach and director

Liz Garnett - performance coach and arranger

Phoenix are proud to have the national singing ambassador,
Howard Goodall, as our patron.
